A postcard to Karla

Karla: I went to walk the dogs this morning and checked on the mail and I got this thin letter. I carefully opened tit up and saw the most adorable picture ever! Lexi sent me a postcard! I love it >u< and the get well message she sent me was so sweet. I love it!

(I was really depressed for a while and currently working on trying to feel better. When I get letters like these from Lex and Hezzy I feel like the luckiest person out there.)

I have such great friends T///T I love you all so much.

Sexy lady putting on her stockings. I really like this drawing Lexi did, but I had this really nasty image in my head when she first started sketching it down. At first it looked like she was pulling her own skin! I think that would have been awesome, and maybe add a bit of blood effects. But hey, Sexy Lady needs Sexy Stockings too. I love the lighting in this.

Lexi was a bit uninspired and started drawing a bloodied hand, and after that she drew a woman with stripped undies in the background. I noticed the hand looked sharp like it was in the foreground and the woman looked out of focus. We then started calling the woman a murderer, stripper, succubus, sex demon, and sexy lady XD

I then started drawing something on the side, it was meant to be my oC Droga but it totally changed into something else. Lexi wanted to draw Sexy Lady kneeling in front of the girl/boy. So she did that and then I started flooding the background in darkness, and then made a light source and she drew a lamp and it ended up looking like a real neat BJ scene. The new oC is code named Peter Girl, because she reminds me of Peter Pan, and I think she is a girl—although Sexy lady produced a dick.

Sexy lady is a lady with no face, only a mouth 8D she is a creepy woman.

Project Start! [PunkMagic]

Today might actually be the beginning of Lexi and me getting back on track with our collaboration project. I got an email from Lexi saying we ought to start drawing things for our art book and put it in our agenda to make at least one illustration a month. It has been a while, and I have felt so uninspired for so long. We have been slacking and some of our creative juices were kind of spent, but in that email there was just a sudden spring of inspiration and we started constructing our world today.

I got out a document file and typed in ideas, biographies and history of the world our art book will be based on. I have been doing a lot of note taking on my own personal project (a novel) so this note taking came out kind of easy for me, especially that we already had some characters already established for it.

I don’t want to give too much away as to what this illustrated book will be about, mainly because the story is partly unraveling to us as we begin working on it. I will say this though, just about everyone you see on this blog will have a place there, including some new characters. (Misha, Alistel, Dibujo, Armada, Genya and Kiro just to name a few who will appear in the art book.)

It feels good to finally start plotting something.

(the project name is just a random name. the final product will likely change in name)

EDIT: P.S: I find it cool and strange that we are going to start our project so close to the day Lexi and I made our first collaboration together during March 21st 2009. It is March 20th 2011 right now.

My newest character, Misha. She is a bunny girl from a steam punk esque world Lexi and I are slowly building. Misha is part of the same world as my other character, Dibujo. Misha is actually a Jackalope and I suppose she is my first female ‘furry’ type of character.

Misha works at a circus and she is a magician. She can perform illusions and shapeshift things. Most of her powers are honed inside her magic hat. (Actually, her small antlers give out a lot of magic air, and if she takes off her hat her spells can actually go out of control)

It has been such a long time since Lexi and I played in openCanvas. First we started off by drawing our elf wardens from BioWare’s Dragon Age. They were both picking on poor Alistair XD [We may finish up the drawing later]

Then we went right onto drawing some more and I guess we really missed each other, because we just started drawing a whole lot of porn -snickers- The story goes like this..

The old witch, Flemeth, has lost any sexual outlet after living alone in the wilds for so many years. She is old, feared, undesired and there are Templers that are out to kill her. Life eventually has become very boring and people seemed to have forgotten about her and see her merely as legend. However, every once in a while there are people who still know of her and seek knowledge. Flemeth has lost the ability to dream after consciously entering the Fade for so long. Whenever she receives a visitor she records their dreams and stores them in a globe where she can peer into anytime she wants, for as long as she wants.

Two warden elves come to her home. One of them was a mage named Kevra and she needed to learn magic spells. Flemeth doesn’t usually like visitors, but her supply of dreams has been running out and she needed a refill. Flemeth didn’t miss this chance to use her stored away Wet Dreams potion and slipped some into the two wardens’ drinks before they decided to spend the night.

Kevra and Millan start having some erotic dreams. They met in the Fade and changed sexes. They had intercourse various times and even changed gender and switched back again and again during sex. Kevra and Millan eventually both woke up and felt rather embarrassed by the entire thing. Kevra never been with a man before, although she has flirted with them plenty of times, and Millan is gay and is in a relationship with Zevran. He is very shy around women, so the dream was a strange mix between nightmare and a good dream. Whatever they might feel about the dreams Flemeth was happy because she got a good dose of yummy sex dreams for years to come.

The drawing didn’t stop there. I continued drawing some more porn but it is not finished yet. I will post that up another time with a small explanation/tiny story. It is funny how these little stories always pop up while we draw things XD

My character Droga, and Lexi’s character, Drake. It has been such a long, long, LONG time since I drew something related to KarLexi aside from the Birthday card I made for Lexi.

Droga and Drake are from a forest universe shared with characters Genya and Kiro. Droga is actually related to my other character, Silas, a dream demon. Droga died when he was real young but became a forest spirit. Droga lives in the enchanted realm and can not be seen or touched by others who are not from this realm. His brother visits him from time to time in dreams.

Droga met Drake one day, and Drake got a cute little crush with him. Drake thinks Droga is a young girl XD

Note: Droga is MALE but his spirit is feminine.

Happy birthday to my friend, Lexi~! I decided to draw her something somewhat related to last year. Last year I made her a simple card with Genya and Kiro’s faces as children. Genya and Kiro are our first creations we did together as collab partners and have a special place in our creativity.

The drawing was a bit hard to do and I tried to make a decent background but got lazy half way through. Plus the clock was ticking and I wanted to hand this to her on time! I kind of like the simplicity of it. There are plenty of mistakes on this picture, but the result is a good one and Lexi really loves it, so I dun care! XD

Lexi! We need to make collabs again! And I am just listing down the projects and things we need to do in a new post.. that will be transferred over to the list on the right side.

For one, we need to make new shared avatars/icons.
We also need to make the Okage Illustrations!
and of course, the Art Book

The art book is a pretty big project, and it would take over a year to complete. We came up with themes like Fashion, Forest, and Magic. I got an idea that maybe we can make small collective stories with the illustrations.

Well, that is all for now. It is actually a 'smaller' list than I thought, although I lost interest in working on my other ideas for the time being XD

EDIT: OH! And a new banner and to fix up the blog a little more.

It has been a loooong while since Lexi and I have done anything together. [months! X-X] And today I woke up and we decided let us do an art trade! I got to draw her character Schaitan. Omg this man has so much hair! I tried to get a little creative and drew in a background.. sort of. You can kind of see there is a hallway back there XD; At first when I drew him I didn't like how he came out, but then I tried again and he looks better.

I think [in my opinion] this is the best art trade I did for Lexi XD.. aside from Yuki and Z which I don't think was an art trade..

But yes, Karlexi is still alive! It was just asleep for a long time. Hopfully Lexi and I will draw a lot more and perhaps get started with some overdue illustrations 8D

Lexi found this meme a while back and we both thought the same thing. We SO should do this, since we are pretty much collab buddies XD We had it in our computers for a while and today we decided, LETS DRAW!

I love looking at our style differences in this meme, and I just adore how she drew so much fun stuff *__* seeing her art makes me happy, and it makes me even happier when she draws something for me or something related to our characters. I feel so spoiled today XD she drew me an Avatar drawing featuring our oc Na’vi characters.

Private Cave [Hufwe + Ka'Jii collab]

Look at that background we did! Look at it! Don’t you just want to lick those rocks? Hehe. I will give you a brief explanation on the characters and this little scene we came up with ^^

Hufwe [wind in Na’vi] is a 16 year old Na’vi boy who is training to become a great warrior/hunter. He is very fast, athletic and a bit loud and ruthless. But he is rather friendly! He likes having physical contact with people—you will always find him touching someone he likes whether it is a hand hold, a hug, leaning against them—he likes touching skin XD Hufwe is full of energy and is a bit of an idiot [so loveable] but he does have one itty-bitty flaw… he can’t bond with animals. T_T He can’t ride a Direhorse and of course he can’t get his own Ikranay [Forest Banshee] and this prevents him from climbing up the ranks. He IS a good hunter, but he is very limited in doing things because of this—so he usually hunts alone or in very small groups. Because he can only travel with his feet he has developed advanced running skills. Even so, without a Banshee or Direhorse, Hufwe can’t be the great hunter/warrior he wants to be.

Ka’Jii is a 23 year old animal caretaker. Born with two sets of queue Ka’jii developed a unique ability to duel bond with everything that is around him [animal and plant alike.] He has a higher sense of neurological tuning than most, which can really drain him emotionally. It is why he usually acts so stoic and calm [and old, lol] Since he was little he practiced this ability and now serves as a link between animal and those that are having trouble bonding. Ka’jii is a trainer who domesticates animals in their clan, and help troubled warriors have a better understanding with their animal comrade/companion.

So, Hufwe [from a neighboring clan] heard of Ka’jii’s gift and heard he was best of the best. Hufwe went to him [privately] and told him of his problem. Ka’jii agreed to help the boy but... it is taking sometime. Eventually the two start hanging out a bit more than just outside of training and Hufwe decides he will show Ka’jii private place. It is a cave hidden deep within the forest away from both their clan homes. Ka’jii is a little mystified over this ‘hiding’ spot Hufwe has and claims he comes here to THINK. Yes, this boggles poor Ka’jii’s head XD Hufwe is ushering him to come along and Ka’jii, very carefully, gradually extends out his hand to Hufwe so that he may be led deeper inside the private cave.

Note: 1 ) Markings on the cave are things Hufwe wrote 2 ) I know there are no “j’s” in the Na’vi language, but hey, there was Jakesully >>;; lol. I love the name Ka’jii, always have and I want to use it on this boy.

Lexi made me this super great calendar as my Christmas present and sent it to me a bit early when I was feeling all depressed/sad. This made me feel sooo much better and happy. It really lifted my spirits a great deal. I have meant to share this earlier but I never got the time to upload it until now XD omg I had to scan sooo much. I would love to see some of these colored sometime-- hmm.. maybe I can collab some of these >w> heh heh heh... well, maybe. This is a gift for my friend Lexi from Germany. I made her a little Kiro!! He was a lot of fun to make, although his head is so big and he kept flopping over! I was getting scared because I shipped him out real early in the month but he didn’t arrive to her place for 2 whole weeks. Lexi and I were both so happy he arrived safe and sound.

VisualFish: hey~ Karla here! Things have been in such the busy side lately! I haven’t had enough time to really settle down and draw—well, I have drawn, but not much since I was busy with Holiday preparation [which isn’t completely done yet.] But I managed to find some time and came online today. And of course, after such a long while of not seeing each other, Lexi and I made [art] love. Very pink and platonic love. We actually wanted to draw a lot more, but Lexi has been drawing all day, and I am a little on the sleepy side.

We didn’t know what to draw, but Chris suggested Lexi and I sharing a friendly Christmasy hug. Skoora suggested US and UK which we might do tomorrow.

The picture features us, Karla and Lexi [Karlexi!] sharing a happy, warm friendly winter hug. I am a little bit taller than Lexi so I think the height is actually accurate. Our styles seem to be leaning toward the realism side lately—I really like it. And I love the background. We just got creative and started doodling abstract things.

I recently got back from 90 percent hiding and I was able to talkytalktalk with ze Lexi <3 I was playing around with a broadcast program for sometime and I showed it to Lexi. I decided to draw her something as she watched. I think we ended up doing a sort of art trade without realizing it XD she drew one of Alfred [US] wearing winter clothes! This is for you Lexi~! ^o^ Oh! And Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Hope you all get stuffed with your fav food! ^__^ ---- Note about Lexi: Today [yesterday] was such a happy day for me. I have been depressed for sometime so I hid myself away from the majority of people for the longest time. But yesterday I got an early Christmas present and it really made my day! It was a homemade calander with many drawings created by Lexi with our OCs and our fav hetalia characters [US and UK.] As soon as I opened the package I squealed! I was soooo happy. I keep looking at it and I feel so very happy with everything she drew and wrote in it. >//< I am so thankful for what she did for me. She put in a lot of work and effort! [sorry for the title, I dunno what else to call it XD]

Yay! After what seems to have been forever, Lexi and I did a collab together. This is Kiro and Genya—characters we haven’t drawn in a LONG time. We have meant to draw them kissing for so long—and being the tease I am decided they should ALMOST be kissing, and not kiss. Main reason I said that was because I am so bad at drawing kissing scenes @_@ lol.

I love this. Kiro is actually a woodland spirit, and he hides in reflection of things—mainly water. Genya is a forest god, and I am really loving the simplistic coloring we did here. Kiro is blue resembling the water and the reflection and Genya is all green resembling the forest.

Inking Practice [Genya and Kiro]

So Lexi and I did a quick OC session. We were doing an Art Trade together and when I saw her drawing I was amazed at how well she does the inking! I am always amazed with her works, but then I felt bad because the quality of my drawing wasn’t all that nice. T//T so I asked her to OC and teach me how she inks and draws and this time I paid closer attention. She drew Kiro with a new hair style, and omg, he looks hawt *_* I love it.

While she drew him I didn’t know who it was supposed to be. At first I thought it was America from Hetalia but I kept my mouth shut and continued looking. When the ears were drawn in I was like “… omg KIRO!” and I was pleased XD Afterward I started sketching out Genya in fairy size [looking at Kiro all lovely dovely] and tried to keep in mind the way Lexi drew Kiro. Then after she finished inking I tried inking the same way she did. I still need practice but it is a lot more flowy than before! I was getting a little tired but Lexi [and Kiro, as you can see there] was cheering me on! >w< hehe. And I finished it! I think we should do some more inking practices like this—then I will have to redraw her part of the trade sometime and use my learned inking methods. ^-^

Hmn, I think I will have to redraw Z later too—I also have to color our US x UK collab. There is much I wanna draw, color… and redraw. XD

We got on openCanvas yesterday and started drawing out our original characters. I drew my boy Phoenix and Lexi's character Yuki. Lexi drew her other oc's Armada and Zaine. I had to redraw Phoenix and Yuki a few times before I felt ok with it @-@ Yuki is Zaine;s boyfriend and model, Armada is Zaine's best friend and part time model, Phoenix is an ex model and Zaine, well, he is the one who does all the photography and fashion! Yuki designs some of the clothes too.

After a long time Lexi and I worked on a drawing today. She drew out all of the background while I drew and colored Droga that's on the foreground. The drawing isn't done but we got real tired of coloring the trees and grass and well.. not to mention drawing that huge background really murdered Lexi's hand o_o lol. btw, Can you spot Genya and Kiro in the drawing? >D

Also, we were trying to draw ourselves in Chibi-mode for a nice banner; that was like 3 weeks ago. We still have a lot to do XD aahh~ art art art.

I have been doing a lot of collabs lately with my friend Lexi, and many have been fanart drawings of Hetalia characters. Anyway, those who aren’t familiar with the 5 minute per episode anime series, hetalia is about nations. People represent the actual country they are from XD and they play out history in a rather comical way. The main story line takes place during WWII, but there are plenty of side stories. Like stories about the American Revolution, and when Rome used to be a grand empire. They basically exaggerate and put stereotypical themes, like America loving his fastfood of burgers and a shake; or Canada being America’s quiet ghostly neighbor, or Sealand [a little boy] that everyone over looks as being a nation because of his small size. It is a real good show really.

Anyway, as you can tell already, I am a big fan of America @_@ and England. [The others is Spain x S.Italy, Germany x N. Italy, butIloveEnglandandAmerica] I’ve been having so much fun ^___^

Warning, BOOBIES. Hehehehehe… new original characters. The girl is Lexi’s and the cat boy is mine. So far what we know about them:

Dibujo [drawing in Spanish] is a teenaged mage feline guy who works in a magic lab. He has a maid that everyone in town drools over and he calls her Senorita. But the maid is, hmn.. very independent and doesn’t like men touching her in anyway XD Dibujo has a deep crush on her and hired her to work for him. Basically she gets him food, cleans up his home [NOT his lab though] and keeps everything organized. The poor guy gets really sexually frustrated <_< but he can never get any lol.

Anyway, she is stuck with him because one night an accident happened in one of his experiments, and basically he stole all of her color. She is like a ghost and his completely white. From what we can tell, she beat the crap out of the poor boy when it happened XD! Dibujo can’t reverse the spell though and he tries to figure it out. She does get her color back during the day, but at night she is white as snow.

Hehe, pretty neat story we came up with huh? XD and it all happened during an hour or two of chat and sketching.

VisualFish Comment: I know I told myself to rest my wrist but… a good portion of the hurt went away when Sasu gave me a tip to lessen the pain. Also after I took an unexpected nap I felt a whole lot better. So of course when I came back I couldn’t resist my urges to draw, and since Sasu was around I told her OPENCANVAS NAO, and it happened. Okies, it didn’t actually go like that XD but similar to that. I just really wanted to draw with her @w@

About the Picture: Apparently Phoe was teasing Z with a little dance around the pole (yes that’s supposed to be a pole.) And was looking at Z in naughty ways. Phoe is a pretty good dancer < /// <; (in the RP entry you see that his drunk ass reveals his dancer nature) Anyway, Phoe was just being silly, and then Z came up to him to give Phoe a little something for teasing him XD (revenge!) Phoe’s ears are very sensitive and it feels so good to have it bitten/sucked on… he is not used to having his ear get this sort of attention, and that is one of his major weak points. XD I just ADORE the chibis Sasu made on the right. Z is so much fun XD but he is a good guy. He won’t do anything bad to Phoe <3 but hey, who can resist pickin’ on the little guy? Everyone does it, even Dae << (Poor Phoe is so easily embarrassed. The ear molesting feels good though >D it gives him instant hard-ons.)

Opencanvas likes to give us heart attacks >< lol. It was having trouble saving as a jpeg file, but luckily I was able to save it as bmp. I transferred it to Photoshop and made it into jpeg, hehe. Gosh if this were to die on us I think Alex and I would have gone INSANE. We spent so much time of this T__T lol This is the first part of a mini goof comic Alex and I decided to make called "Birds and the Porno" get the pun in it? lol , it's based partly on what Skoora and I were talking about XD I said something along the lines of “wouldn’t it be funny if Phoe watches porn and it turns out it’s Cole?” Cole being Skoora’s character that is still in the making. Skoora said he plans to perhaps make him into a porn star but he is still thinking about it <3 [Alexa and I did a little bit of 'ooc' mini RP through msn and then something wacky came out and we decided to draw it out.] Either way, Phoenix never seen porn before—what!? Yeah, he lived with his parents which were dirt poor and had no computer. They don’t even have a television, just one and his dad has it locked up in his room. So when Phoenix moved in with Z he was introduced to the land of interwebz and its pornographic glory. Phoe has sucked one or two guys before but that was the only real sexual thing he has done, and he never did it again… he did it for the money which he desperately needed. Anyway, he never really has seen sex between dudes so this is a first for him. Recently Phoe has been having fantasies of being with Dae and as he watched this porno online he can’t help but think… of certain things. Ohgosh Z XD he caught him watching some naughty stuff~ He is gonna have to give Phoe a few pointers. He is so much like a big brother. Alex and I might draw the second part tomorrow, cuz we are worn out for the day lol @_@ Btw… look at the porno guy’s pants… >_> take a good look. Lol. Yay! It is finally done! I can work together with people, mainly Alexa. I had sooo much fun yesterday with her. We both drew such pretty pictures of Genya and Kiro >-< ! I love them so much. Our art babies made for each other <3 We were fangirling and squeaking so much. We really did some hardcore drawing and coloring and in the end or wrists hurt and we are just so tired. We share a 5 hour difference or so, so she was REAL tired by the end of it all. But I am so happy. I missed her a lot and we were able to drown ourselves with some yummy collaboration.

A few people are probably wondering how the heck to get openCanvas, and how to operate the darn thing. Well, after some searching I found this:

Turns out I needed something called Hamachi. Both you and the person need it in order for it to work. Its pretty simple o_o and easy to use.

I am not too certain how I did it but its done XD Anyway, I really enjoy drawing with chibi-Nazumi, its so much fun *__* and we go real crazy with detail when it comes to the forest backgrounds. I adore the background so much. Genya and Kiro are such cuties! SO CUTE!! I love them T__T

Our first collaboration together!

Karla aka VisualFish Comment: This was so much fun, oh my gosh >w< and I am so happy how it came out! I did the background and Genya, and Nazumi did such a great job with the fairies and sparkles and I just love how she did the linework and coloring of her boy Kiro! Kiro is the dark haired elf <3 I decided to speak a bit of the details on both these boys we created. Genya: He is the offspring of a great willow tree. He has many siblings who don’t look like him. They are in fact small fairies (I wonder if those are his siblings XD) and all together they take care of their mother and the forest around them. Genya was born an oddball. He is much larger than the rest of his siblings, and he looks very different—like an overgrown fairy. He is very shy and soft spoken.

Kiro: A prankster! Kiro is an Elvin spirit who often hides in reflections and likes to mess with other people. He hides in their mirrors and other reflective surfaces.
